Officers of the Directorate of Enforcement ( ED) have sealed an apartment in a complex in MRC Nagar, in R A Puram in connection with a probe into an alleged Rs.1000 crores scan in TASMAC, the state liquor trading corporation.
This happened on Friday and was part of a wide probe undertaken by the ED.
Since the resident, a businessman was not at home, the flat was sealed and officers spoke to others locally to gather details.
It is said that the MRC Nagar resident is linked to the scam and that he is close to ruling party leaders.
Another person who was investigated in this ‘scam’ , a. film producer, resides on the Alwarpet – Teynampet zone.
