The annual Vaikasi festival as well as the Vidaiaatri cultural fest of Sri Veleeswarar Temple, Mylapore starts on June 1 and ends in June 22,
A festival of nadaswaram concerts fest will be on on the first 10 evenings.
The kodiyetram is on June 2. The lord will be taken out in procession on various vahanams on the succeeding days.
June 4, after 6 am, is the adhikara nandi vahanam procession. On June 6, the late evening procession ( around 9 pm) is of the rishaba vahanam.
June 7 is the pallakku vizha. June 8, around 7 am, is thiru-ther procession.
June 9, after 3 pm, is the sukra bhagavan kan-perudhal. June 11 – 8 pm, is thirukalyanam.
From June 13 to 22 – the cultural festival of three concerts daily will be held in the temple premises.
