The 1992 batch alumni of San Thome Hr Sec. School, San Thome collected funds to support the studies of a few needy students in the school.
The cheques were handed over to the heads of the San Thome school as well as its brother school, Montfort which is located in the same campus.
The donation has supported 38 students of San Thome school and 11 students in Monfort school.
A sum of Rs.3,00,500 was handed over.
Alumni member Karthikeyan B. said that this is the seventh year the group is making this donation.
“A few other alumni groups are also following our example, we hear, ” he said.
