GCC is improving facilities at its park on Lazarus Church Road in R A Puram.
The stone benches have been painted in multi-colours and additional pipelines are being laid for water sprinklers used around the lawns.
The park is part closed, part open to visitors to enable civic work to be carried out.
Park users say that the clock on the tower in the park should also be set right.
