For a second time in recent days, a bomb threat call received at Sri Kapali Temple on Saturday saw the run of protocol in such cases. Eventually, the threat was called a hoax.
Close to 11;30 a.m. police landed up at the temple and asked devotees and staff to move out of the campus.
Though the main gate was left ajar, the side gates of the temple remained closed as police went about their business and the Bomb Disposal Squad, with sniffer dogs, screened the entire campus. Nothing dangerous was located.
