Are there religious items that you want to dispose of? Here is how you can do this at a event to be held this weekend.
The Sri Kamakshi Aarsha Samskriti Trust, Rotary Club of RT Nagar, Bangalore, along with Spreco is holding an event for the collection of old religious articles, books and frames.
You may carry the items to the collection centre at Subbi Chetty Choultry – Chitrkulam zone – near PK Mahal, on July 13, a Sunday.
Since many people find it inconvenient to discard religious items, this meet has been arranged. The sorted materials are then sent to respective recyclers.
Those who wish to donate items have to pay a sum of Rs 300 to meet the expenses for holding this project.
The organisers say that items like laminated photos of gods/ goddesses, idols, shloka and religious books, puja articles, panchangas and puja mantaps can be handed over.
