Sangeetha’s 40th anniversary special launch invite at its Mylapore branch attracted a big crowd on July 15 noontime.
The experience was made warm and friendly from the start; staff with walkie-talkies directed guests who stood in a queue, bought their tokens at the gate and were directed to the inside where the seating arrangement was wedding style.
“The setting was such that if Sangeetha had given diners a thamboolam bag, this would have been a wedding lunch,” joked K R Jambunathan, who dined here with his wife.

Baskar Seshadri who stopped by said the arrangements were as good as they had been at the R A Puram branch which had made this offer last week.
Jambunathan said that though it was to be a limited meal, servers offered helpings if people asked for curd or rice.
Sangeetha’s promoter Rajagopal was around, supervising the treat and speaking to some diners.
Sangeetha’s special 40th anniversary lunch for Rs40 offer will be on at its Pattinapakkam branch on July 17, 12 noon onwards.
