Metrowater-assigned workers began work inside the tank of Sri Kapali Temple in Mylapore, with a few men taking a look at the four bore well – motors installed inside the tank.
One assumes these motors were fixed to pump up ground water below the bed of the tank, to fill the tank when water levels were low.
Today’s action follows the visit and discussion that state minister for HR & CE, Sekar Badu had on Tuesday with state officials on the issue of a parched tank.
Only a small pool of water remains in the tank.
