The contract for paid parking under Greater Chennai Corporation and outsourced to a private body has ceased. Hence, for some weeks, people will not have to pay when they park bikes / cars in designated parking lots.
Complaints for illegal fee charging may be lodged on 1913.
This is mainly applicable to parking lots in busy market zones, temple precincts and commercial areas of the city.
