Anupriya Vikram, a resident of Luz Golden Enclave on Luz Church Road has a collection of some 60-plus images of lord Vinayaka.
And like a few others who passionately collect images of this popular deity, she not only expands this collection but also displays them.
Every year, for the Vinayaka Chathurthi festival, she follows her practice of displaying all her collection of Vinayagar figurines at her residence on a stepped platform.
“Many images have been passed on to me by my family members and friends,” said Anupriya who is a home-maker and is currently the president of Parent Teacher Association at Vidya Mandir school, Mylapore.
Differing in sizes, each Vinayaka has a unique background to it and Anupriya can share the stories of all images. Like the oldest one in her collection which is the Maragatha Vinayagar from the 1970s which was passed on to her by her mother-in-law.
