Here is a contest for Mylapore families in connection with Vinayaka Chathurthi.
Make an umbrella for the lord from eco and recyclable materials – paper, cardboard, dry leaves, thread, wood, palms, flowers, etc. You must not paint/colour but can sew and embroider. Entries will be judged for best use of waste/recyclable materials, creativity and neatness.
