The popular bommai sales bazaar that North Mada Street in Mylapore turns into this festival season has come alive in small ways.
On Thursday, a few hawkers set up makeshift stalls to sell images of lord Kroshna for the festival this weekend.
One woman hawker said the statues are sourced from places like Cuddalore and Panruti zones of the state.
Prices range from Rs 100/- to Rs 5000.
