The annual pavithrotsavam (also known as an event of puriification ata temple) of Sri Madhava Perumal Temple, Mylapore is from August 4 to 7 night.
While the formal start will be a short ritual on Aug.4, after 6.30 p.m., the yagam rituals will start the next day and end on the last day of this event, with four/six priests taking part in it.
There will be special alankaram of the gods every day.
