Sivaswami Kalalaya Matric School’s annual day was special; celebrated its silver jubilee

The 25th Annual Day celebrations of Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School were held on  July 31 at the prestigious Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet.
This year’s celebration was significant as it marked 25 years of this school.
The cultural programme unfolded with a soulful fusion music, an invocation composed of five ragas. This was followed by a graceful classical dance performance portraying the Arupadai Veedu or six abodes of Lord Muruga.
The evening’s theatrical presentations showcased the students’ flair for storytelling and stagecraft. An English drama followed by a Tamil play.
The programme culminated in a vibrant medley  of India’s cultural mosaic, where students performed folk and classical dances representing seven Indian states.
Following the cultural segment, the formal session commenced.
The chief guest was T. S. Tirumurti, former ambassador and renowned diplomat, The guest of honour was Krishnamachari Srikkanthm former India cricketer.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the annual report for the academic year 2024–2025 by principal, S. K. Umashankar, and vice-principal, V. Subbulakshmi.
The evening progressed to the prize distribution ceremony.
