Two churches had the launch of their church feast this evening.
The Our Lady of Guidance Church in R A Puram and Our Lady of Light Church, Luz, commonly called Luz Church.
At Our Lady of Guidance Church, the guest priest led the blessing of the church flag and its hoisting, which signalled the start of the annual feast of mother Mary. ( first photo here)
At the church in Luz, the main celebrant blessed the church flag and symbolically hoisted it.
The Holy Mass was held in the open air and the designer-illumination of the facade of this church, which bears has a 1516 inscription on it, was a nice sight from afar. ( photos below are of Luz church event)
The feasts of the two churches fall on August 15. Daily, novena and Holy Mass is said and celebrated at both churches.
Each church has also lined up special religious events during the feast.
