State minister for Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments affairs, P K Sekar Babu inaugurated the annual Navaratri festival on Sept.22 evening at Sri Kapaleeswarar Karpagambal Kalyana Mandapam in Venkatesa Agraharam Street, Mylapore.
The hall is opposite the Sai Baba Temple on this road.

A giant kolu stands in the centre of the hall. Decorated showcases on all sides display different goddesses besides images that go with the theme of the Navaratri season.

We have tried to emulate The Sankaranayinar Gomathi Amman temple of Sankarankovil as this year’s theme in our Kolu.
I have sent a few photos through email too to participate in the Kolu contest 2025.
Almost 95% of the display is made at home including Nandi, Dhwajasthambam, trees, etc.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Appreciate this. Mail us a few photos and 6 lines on the theme, the unique features of the dolls, etc and your name and short address. Mail – [email protected]
