Senior Carnatic music vocalist and teacher, Geetha Raja who is based in Alwarpet is conducting a four-day workshop/ teaching session on ‘Javalis’.
This is a collaboration with Mani Krishnaswami Academy.
The sessions are on Sept. 20, 21, 27, 28. Timings –7 to 8.30 am IST.
Geetha Raja is a widely-traveled artiste, and a disciple of late T. Brinda. Representing the Brinda school of music, which belongs to the Veena Dhanammal tradition, her singing is known for its strong adherence to classicism. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including Kalaimamani from the government of Tamil Nadu and the Sangita Kala Acharya from The Music Academy,
