Vishwamitra Thailagam is a nook you may miss when you swing into Mosque Street from Mandaveli Street side.
This is the nook where Lakshmi carries out all kinds of tailoring services and she is a busy bee. The nook was opened five months ago after it had to shift from Mandaveli Street.
Lakshmi is an expert in stitching all kinds of garments for women and for children.
She handles all the work by herself – be it stitching of blouses and churidhars, pavadais and frocks, nighties and inner garments.
Since her charges are affordable, she has a queue of clients. “If people need some tailoring extra fast then I try and deliver the item in a day and charge extra,” she said.
She opens the shop at 10 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. with a lunch break between 1 and 2 p.m.
She is a resident of Mandaveli.
