A. Sankara Narayanan (fondly called Naaju by friends), aged 74, passed away on September 19. He was a resident of Mandaveli for over a decade.
A retired auditor, he was multi-talented — a voracious reader, music enthusiast, excellent cook, accomplished player of the kanjeera and bulbul tarang, and an avid traveller, said his daughter-in-law T. K. Janaki.
To all who knew him, Naaju was a giver (paropakari), always ready to help, guide, and uplift, she added.
He is survived by his wife Usha and son Karthik and their families.
