24-year-old Mouli, a. resident of Visalakshi Gardens was murdered by a gang in Mylapore on Thursday, November 20.
Police suspected four youths to be behind the murder; three were under arrest as of last weekend, with one of them shot in the leg and arrested by local police after they spotted him fleeing near a MRTS station in Adyar area.
 Enmity due to personal relationships seems to triggered the crime and on Monday, the gang, on spotting Mouli, chased and cornered him and attacked him fatally; he died near Mandaveli MRTS station.
Abiramapuram police are handling this case. Police have been patrolling the Visalakshi Gardens area to check spillovers from the murder.
