Hundreds of people visited Quibble Island Cemetery on D G S Dinakaran Road in R. A. Puram on Sunday, November 2 which is treated as All Souls Day.
On this day, Christians remember those who have passed away and many of them visit the graves of their families and pray.

While hawkers selling flowers, incense and candles set up temporary stalls on the pavement alongside the cemetery at break of dawn, people started to stream in as the morning progressed.
They headed to the graves of their families and relatives, lit candles, placed flowers and prayed.
Groups of nuns were seen here; some congregations have the graves of the departed nuns here.

Later in the evening, priests blessed the graves and a special Holy Mass was celebrated on a temporary stage.
Burials in this cemetery are now restricted only to members of families whose graves are here due to space constraints.
This cemetery is for Catholics and for Protestants.
