People started streaming into Sri Madhava Perumal in Mylapore early on December 30 morning even as dawn was breaking to take part in the rituals here on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi.
As the morning wore on, more and more people visited this temple.
Elsewhere, the stream of people headed to Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple off the Chitrakulam zone was thick and grew bigger during the day. ( photo below – by Chinmaya Arjun Raja)
The entrance here was well decorated for the occasion and many hawkers sold flowers and vegetables on this narrow street.
