Arudra celebrations held at Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore started late evening on Friday, January 2 and went on through the night and into the dawn of Saturday.
There was a procession at about 11.30 p.m. on Friday and another that started at about 6.30 .am. on Saturday.
Lord Nataraja adorned with a grand alankaram was then taken out in the Mada Streets after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Hundreds of people visited the temple to participate.
