A section of the busy Venkatakrishna Road near Mandaveli MRTS railway station has been badly damaged and a large pit has been formed here.
Since this pit is in the middle of the road, it poses great danger to motorists, who may skid or fall off their two-wheeler if they ride into the pit, unaware of its presence.
Over the recent years, a few sections of this busy road have either remained in a bad state or some parts, even after being relaid, wear off quickly after a spell of rain or if exposed to the heavy traffic caused by diversions due to Chennai Metro work in Mandaveli.
