Chennai has been experiencing chill weather for some weeks now and may not wane at least in the days to follow.
Pre-dawn temperatures range in the 23 – 24 degrees bracket.
One place to sense the chill, the mist and the images of this weather is on D G S Dinakaran Road, from the Pattinapakkam traffic signals junction right up to the Tholkappia Poonga.
If you walk or cycle here around 5 a.m., you see the misty scenes below the street light posts and in the headlights of cars and buses on the road.
Since the Poonga and the Adyar estuary dominates this zone, the mist is prominent here.
