A section of R. K. Mutt Road caved in on Thursday morning, and this messed up the traffic movement on this busy road.
This happened opposite Manoj Bhavan restaurant.
The road and earth has caved in for at least five feet below. Police had to erect barricades and regulate and divert vehicles.
Workers from Metrowater and Chennai Corporation have examined the civic issue and plan to address it soon.
The road has caved in in this zone many times and on the last occasion, it took many days to set things right.
