Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Senior Secondary School, Mylapore conducted the CHIP Challenge 2025–’26 event, an intra-school technology competition organised by the computer science department for students from Classes II to X recently.
The aim of this event was to inculcate technological interest, strengthen digital literacy, and encourage students to explore emerging trends in computing.
Rajalakshmi Suresh, application architect and people manager at IBM, Chennai, was the chief guest.
The competition was thoughtfully structured with individual assessments for Classes II to IV and team-based projects for Classes V to X, ensuring age-appropriate engagement and meaningful learning experiences.
Students showcased a wide spectrum of projects using digital tools, presentations, and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
The prize distribution ceremony recognised outstanding student performances across all grades. This was followed by a project visit to the computer science laboratory, where the chief guest interacted with students and witnessed live demonstrations of selec projects.
A highlight of the event was the exhibition of Computer Vision projects by senior students.
