Teppam fest of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple from Feb.1 to 3

The three-day teppam of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple for 2026 is to  be held from February 1 to 3.  

While on day one, the focus will on lord Shiva – Chandrashekara, on the next two evenings, it will be on lord Singaravelar and his consorts.

The gods, decorated with alankarams befitting the occasion, will be taken out in procession through East Mada and South Mada Streets and R. K. Mutt Road and then seated inside the brightly illuminated and decorated teppam inside the temple tank on the west side and the teppam will do the rounds inside the tank.

As of now, the level of water in the tank is enough for the float to be taken around.

People are allowed into the temple on a few sides, to watch the teppam,  held in the evenings.
