Where are two very important foundation stones related to foundation and support of Nageswara Rao Park in Luz which detail the history of this popular landmark?
This issue is bothering people who are fond of this park and treat heritage seriously.
There were two tablets, set in each of the two pillars at the main gate of this park, facing Luz Church Road. ( photo below)
Massive renovation work is on here for some months now and this week, workmen of the contractor demolished the pillars, removed the gate and there is no sign of the tablets. ( first photo)
A person who looks after the washrooms near the gate said that a JCB was used to demolish the pillars some days ago.
People are asking – where are these two tablets that hold a piece of city history ? These tablets need to be embedded in the gates/pillars that will come up later.
