All gopurams and vimanams of Sri Kapali Temple colourfully illuminated

HRCE minister P. K. Sekar Babu inaugurated the new lighting system of Sri Kapaleeswar Temple
Mylapore on February 15.
The two gopurams and all the vimanams have been illuminated; the colours of the lights change in turns automatically.
The lighting gives the temple a great look at night, when see from afar.
About Rs.2 crores was spent on this project.
Some temple-goers suggest that the 16-pillar mantapam on the eastern side of the temple, in Sannidhi Street must also be illuminated.
