The elevator at Mundakakanni Amman MRTS rail station got stuck due to a technical problem and a few people were trapped in it on Thursday, Feb. 19.
Railway officials were alerted and Tamil Nadu Fire Services team rushed to the station and rescued
all the people trapped in the lift. A medical team was also here to offer first aid.
The reason for the development is not known – was it because of a power failure or fault
in the lift .
