The Madras Sanskrit College’s Digital Campus has been offering a variety of courses, some basic, some advanced and mostly held online to reach out to a large community.
Starting from Feb 17, a new course called Naalvar Natramizh was launched, with 20 sessions and held twice a week.
The Naalvar Natramizh course is designed exclusively to inculcate deeper understanding of the Tevaram and Tiruvasagam hymns. Classes are bilingual in both Tamil and English. Transliterations in English help students read the hymns even without Tamil knowledge. Classes are conducted online in Zoom. They are conducted by staffer Dr. S. Charulatha who has earned her doctorate in Shaivam.
