Kadhir Dhan is a flagship program for providing food for the needy through the NGO, ECO Kitchen, which is a subsidiary under Y Gaitonde medical education and research Foundation
ECO Kitchen supplies cooked fresh nutritious meals to old-age homes and foster care centres in an around Chennai.
Under Kadhir Han programme, currently government school students who are appearing for public exams are being supported with nutrition for their evening snack. These children stay back for their special classes after school.
Ravi Nandyala, a Mandaveli resident who manages this project says that one such school, identified in Alwarpet, is in need of support for 150 students for one month. The cost per student is Rs.30.
