The Alwarpet based Gandhi Peace Foundation successfully completed the weekly sessions of the Peace Club project it held in The Children’s Garden School, Mylapore for the academic year 2025– 2026 with a valedictory function on Feb.3.
The programme included a prayer, a skit, singing, talk on Six Rules for Peace and on Mahatma Gandhi and a snappy play – all presented by the students of class 5.
Certificates were awarded to Peace Club members in appreciation of their participation; they were guided by school teachers.
The Peace Club initiative is run in some city schools – these include St. Raphael’s Girls School, San Thome, Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School, Mylapore and Avvai Home school, Adyar.
