In connection with Shivaratri festival at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, the temple will be open from Feb. 15 morning to Feb.16 morning.
There are to be four special abishekams Sunday evening onwards.
The first ‘kalam’ abishekam will start after 11.30 p.m. Sunday night, the second ‘kalam’ abishekam after 1.15 a.m. ( Feb.16), the third ‘kalam’ abishekam at about 3 a.m. and the fourth and last one at about 4 a.m.
For Shivaratri, in all other Shiva temples in Mylapore, the abishekams will be held almost at the times followed at Sri Kapali Temple.
