Mylapore MLA Dha Velu says that the broken down columns bearing two foundation stones of Nageswara Rao Park in Luz have been kept in safety.
When it waqs pointed out to him that he had neither kept hsi word in safegaurding the stones when work started some months ago and promised to keep them safe and that they were now lying in the ground, broken in parts, Velu told Mylapore Times – The damaged stone is safely kept. Don’t worry. Definitely this stone will be again fixed once we re-open the park.’
But he did not mention where the other stone was. Park users have not been able to locate it.
