People are shopping for induction stoves as the LPG supply crisis prolongs. And these are out of stock in many leading stores in Mylapore.
At the Girias store in Mandaveli, staff said they had sold about sixty induction stoves in the past four days and the price of the popular brand Prestige is Rs 2500 now.
Store manager Karthik says he is awaiting fresh stocks.
At Thangavel Nadar store on R. K. Mutt Road, Mylapore, staff said they had sold fifty stoves the past three days.
Popular brands are now out of stock.
However local brand products are available – prices are in the range of Rs.1500 – 1900. The Pigeon brand is popular, said store proprietor Janakiraman.
