The popular food joint Sri Kalathi in Chitrakulam zone selling idlis and vadai in the morning and evening shut due to commercial LPG shortage.
The place ran out of stock on March 12 afternoon and has been shut since then. The shop was re-opened on Friday – staff said they got a cylinder to restart operations.
A popular tea shop in the Chitrakulam zone also shut down.
