Members of St. Vincent de Paul Society attached to Our Lady of Guidance Church in R. A. Puram have carried out two acts of charity recently.
They visited Shishu Bhawan in Royapuram, a unit run by the Sisters of Missionaries of Charity on February 28 and donated foodstuff and toiletries to the Home which houses 25 physically and mentally challenged children. Most of these children were abandoned by their families on the streets. a member said.
They also visited Jeevodhaya, in Mathur, a Home for terminal cancer patients and handed over clothes and toiletries and spent some time with the people.
This unit is headed by Vincent Maria Susai.
