The Palm Sunday observed by the community of CSI St Luke’s church in Mandaveli, has always been unique as it was on March 29.
The palms were blessed by pastor Rev G. Dhanasekaran and distributed to people. They then took out a procession from the old church near Mandaveli market to the new church on R. K. Mutt Road carrying palms in their hands and singing hymns.
A couple of tableaus were mounted as part of this procession.
The Sunday School children, dressed up as Biblical characters and enacted scenes from the passion of Jesus Christ while going on bullock carts.
