S.I.E.T. Dyslexia Centre based on Bharathidasan Road is now open for admissions for children with learning difficulties (dyslexia). The centre is located within the S.I.E.T. College campus and has been serving children with learning difficulties for the past 25 years.
Children who are unable to cope with mainstream education can benefit from this centre, which offers both State Board curriculum and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Remedial teaching is provided alongside academic subjects to support individual learning needs.
Students opting for the NIOS Board for Std X and XII can attend regular classes at the centre. In addition, S.I.E.T. Dyslexia Centre offers vocational training courses such as: Typewriting (English), Tailoring & Embroidery, Baking and Weaving.
Many children may face challenges in subjects such as Languages, Mathematics, and Writing (English & Tamil), but with proper guidance and support, they show significant improvement, said Madhumathi Achuthan, Head and special educator
