Tamil Nadu Masters state table tennis championship was organised by TT coach and former India player Rajesh R. at the GCC indoor stadium in Alphonsa ground, Mandavelipakkam recently.
Players aged 40 to 80 years can take part in the Masters. There were three 80 years-plus players.
Local sponsors pitched in. Former state player Sujit flew in from Dubai to play in the 40 years plus category and won. N. Kalyanraman, another ex-state plater, starred as a prize winner.
Local area councillor Amirda Varshini was a guest at the prizes ceremony.
