The TVK ( Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam) party held a political meeting on Mandaveli Street, Mandaveli on Friday evening.
A few hundred people attended the meeting which was addressed by a string of speakers, all in their 30s/40s.
The TVK has a local unit office on P. S. Sivaswami Salai. Its core cadres have been reaching out to people and most of their members are youth.
