A few Mylapore communties reach out to thirsty souls in summer. They offer water or buttermilk.
One such are residents of Dwaraka Apartments on Dr Ranga Road, Mylapore.
The residents take turns to source the curd, make the butter milk and then offer glasses of it to people at their gate, till noon. Everybody is welcome to have a drink – be it salesmen, load workers, auto drivers and hawkers.
This service has been offered for some years now; done quietly and happily.
