Residents in the Raja Street zone in Mandaveli are doing their bit to quench the thirst of people on the street. Some of them have kept drinking water pots at their gates.
One such is located outside Dwaraka Apartments in Raja Sreets. Said Ganga Sridhar, a resident, “Many people head to the Primary Health Centre on the next street and they seek water. Then there are salesmen, workers, maids and watchmen too.”
Buttermilk distribution has started in a small way now.
“We hope the buttermilk distribution will go on when the heatwave conditions persist,” said Ganga.
