The Madras Day celebration has been happening in various parts of the city. Many events and competitions have been held in the Mylapore area.

Till Aug.22. PHOTO EXHIBITION: At Studio Palazzo, No 7, Seethamma Road, Alwarpet. Photo exhibition of Ranjan De’s Chennai Graffiti. Also, pictures/ documents on early 20th Century reminiscences of Gurusamy Mudaliar, a close associate of Robert Chisholm who pioneered the Indo-Saracenic style in Madras.
