The diamond jubilee souvenir of Rosary Matric Girls School was released on March 21 in the school premises in San Thome.
The school is celebrating this milestone with many events through the 2010-2011 academic year.
The souvenir was released by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram and N. Ram, Editor in chief of The Hindu received the first copy.
Teachers Amy Prabhu, P. J. Mary, Matilda Ernest, Ramani Louis, Teresa Mark Nathna, G Louisa, Geralyn Davey, Shymala and Mary Regina were felicitated for their contribution to the school for the last 25 years.
Several other teachers and alumni were also felicitated for their service towards the school.
Also present were former principal Sr. Leena D’ Souza, Sr. Cecilia Joachim, provincial, Chennai province, retired teachers, alumni and students.
A small cultural programme was organised by the students of the higher secondary section.
