St. Raphael’s Girls Higher Secondary School, San Thome had its sports day on July 23 in the school premises.
K. Periaiah, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Training, Chennai was the chief guest. The school band welcomed him. He gave a short speech and declared the sports meet open.
The event began with the march past by the students of the four houses and other associations like the NSS, guides and RSP students. The students took the oath and the games began.
Periaiah viewed some of the track events and drills and distributed prizes to the winners.
The over all shield and best house trophy was won by Francis house.
Also present on the occasion was principal Ranjitham and correspondent Sister Antonita and other provincial nuns.
