Chennai Corporation has plans to dig up four roads in this neighbourhood for construction of storm water drains.
The traffic police have stated that they would ensure smooth flow of traffic in these areas by using alternative routes near the work sites.
The roads will be dug up for a length of about 500m to 2 km. The civic body intends to complete this work before the on set of the monsoon in September – October.
In Mylapore P. S. Sivasamy Salai, Balakrishna Road, R. A. Puram 1st Main Road and St. Mary’s Road will be dug up for this purpose.
