Sri Annai Saradambal Catering located at Adam Street, Mylapore has some of the usual stuffs this year too. On the menu are laddus, jangiris, badhushas, ribbon pakoda and special mixture. Kalyan Ghee Stores located at 11, South Mada Street, Mylapore also sells cooking butter, ghee and edible oils. This store has been here from 1965 and specialises in these products. The butter is sourced from Karur and the ghee is made at home, says Periyaswamy, owner. One can also buy butter and make ghee at their houses, he added. Ganapathy’s Butter and Ghee is based in Mylapore. This shop was started in 1942 and is now run by the S. Saravanan. This shop was started by my grand father and till date only sells butter and ghee, says Saravanan, owner. The butter is sourced from Erode and the ghee is made at home, he says.
